A perspective reconstruction of Tikal, Guatemala, as of approximately 750 CE, looking south from a point just north of the North Acropolis. In the centre foreground is Str 5D 22 1st A. We see its rear facade. It faces toward the rear of 5D 33 1st A (centre ground), which in turn faces onto the Great Plaza. Beyond the Great Plaza we seen various structures of the Central Acropolis. Great Temple I (5D 1) rises above and to the left of 22. Beyond the Central Acropolis, roughly on line with 22 and 33 are Great Temple V (5D 5) and the South Acropolis.
