Our logo is an image of an owl with atlatl darts. A Teotihuacan pottery vessel had this image mold-impressed on its lid. Owl images of one kind or another are very common at Teotihuacan. They also show up at many other sites throughout Mesoamerica. Spearthrower Owl is the name of an individual who is recorded as having established a new dynasty at Tikal, in the Maya area, in the fourth century A.D. The Teotihuacan vessel lid on which our logo image appears can be seen as Figure 126, on page 247 of "Teotihuacan: Art from the City of the Gods, edited by Berrin and Pasztory. It may be an emblem for some kind of military order similar to the much later Aztec Eagle knights.
